Waffles anyone?

If waffles could brighten up your day after a hectic day at work, then do pay Hatter Street Bakehouse & Cafe a visit!
That’s if you live close to Hougang/Kovan area of course.

Japanese Yam & Matcha Cake

They don’t just serve waffles though, they do have pretty awesome display of cakes to spoil all your diet plans!
And this was the cake that we chose since it’s really special. They call it the Yin Yang Cake or something like that.

What it is is a special mix of Japanese purple yam with green tea. It’s really an interesting cake and it’s actually quite delicious!
The centre and top portion has bits of the mashed yam, whereas the layers of ‘sponge cake’ is really soft and fluffy!

Waffles with Chocolate Ice Cream

Next up! Waffles! The classic chocolate ice cream waffles, which won’t go wrong for any chocolate lovers.
What’s special here is their waffles is the Belgium type, which means it’s less fluffy in the centre, but replaced with an awesome crunch and crispiness to every bite!

Waffles with Vanilla Ice Cream

Next up, we ordered the Vanilla version, which comes with caramel sauce drizzled on top!
I would actually say this is the one I liked the most! It has this buttery taste to it which makes leaves a really pleasant taste and it’s not as rich as the chocolate ones.

They do have a Pandan version, which was sold out by the time we ordered, so we couldn’t try that. 🙁

If you’re looking for good waffles and Ice Edge Cafe is always full, do walk a little (make your tummy growl more) and go for this alternative one! This may actually change your life as you know it! haha
